Cat Fecal Exam

You may not want to think about it, but intestinal parasites are very common in our cuddly feline family members. A fecal exam can reveal intestinal parasites in your pet’s stool and regular deworming can help to prevent these critters from appearing so often.

What is a cat fecal parasite screen?


This is a microscopic examination of your pet’s stool sample used to look for intestinal parasites.

What does a fecal parasite screen reveal?


It will reveal intestinal parasites in the stool sample so that we can determine the best treatment for your pet.

What is the best method for collecting my cat’s stool?


Collect a fresh stool sample in a clean container or plastic bag. A clean sample without kitty litter (if possible) will provide a better sample for us to test.
