  1. If a cat blinks slowly at you, it means they love you!
  2. The average cat sleeps for 16-18 hours per day
  3. Have you ever noticed little tufts of fur in a cat’s ears? Those are called ear furnishings. Ear furnishings help filter out debris and also help insulate the ears.
  4. Cats do not have collarbones!
  5. The actual term for a hairball is a bezoar
  6. Cats do not have a sweet tooth, unlike humans and dogs!
  7. Cats cat hear sounds 2 octaves higher than humans can
  8. Cats are not the only animals that purr.
  9. The largest cat breed is the Maine Coon, these cats can weigh about 25 pounds
  10. The most popular purebred cat breed is the Persian cat
