Many people don’t realize that onions and garlic are toxic to pets. It is so sparsely known that garlic powder is actually a dangerously common ingredient in some homemade dog treat recipes found online. They are also very common ingredients in many different dishes that we humans love to make, so we need to be extra careful to not allow our pets to ingest anything containing these ingredients. No more licking the plate for Fido and Fluffy!
With recent changes to restrictions on businesses, we have made some important updates to our operating policies.
1. WE CAN NOW SEE ALL CASES BY APPOINTMENT
This includes vaccines, wellness exams, blood work, heartworm testing, spays and neuters, dental services, and more!
2. SAFETY MEASURES TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE
Effective April 23, 2021, our doors will be locked. We remain OPEN 24 HOURS to see your pets, but will be reverting to curbside service in order to keep our staff and clients safe. This means clients will not be permitted in the building - we will come to the front door to pick up your pet for their exam. When you arrive for your pet's appointment, please call us at 902-225-7543. You will be kept up-to-date on the appointment progress by phone. Exceptions will be made for end of life procedures following all Covid guidelines. We will advise you of the guidelines should you need this service.
Continue the use of credit cards as the preferred payment method.
Continue to offer curbside pickup of food and medication (unless you have used our online store and are having your order delivered directly to your home). To place an order through our online store, visit our website and click on "Online Store".
Prescription refills and food orders can be picked up at our front door. Please call us when you arrive in our parking lot to pick up food or prescriptions. Please note we have a 24-hour refill policy on all prescriptions.
